Blog Since our shop has closed, we will not be doing newsletters as often as before. Our website will remain open, so occasionally we will send out things we feel will be interesting for quilters. On a more regular basis, we will post information on our blog. Just press the following link to go to our blog. Busy Bee News December 2009 Here is hoping you and your family had a great Thanksgiving day. We traveled to southern California and were with our family for several days. It was great fun. The store is closed. I want to thank all of you that came in to wish us all well and especially bought the fabric and notions, so we could close quickly. Staff and I will miss seeing our customers and seeing the great quilts and other projects they are working on. Newsletters will go out when there is something to report but probably not on a monthly basis as before. Even though the store is closed, I am going to stay in the quilting business. My website, which was started a year before I opened the store, will become my main focus. I will eventually sell kits and notions and patterns through it. So keep an eye on it. We also have a blog that you can see on the front page of the website or follow this link: http://www.beehivequilt.blogspot.com/. Check it out from time to time to learn where we have been and what we are doing. We still have a few items of display that are for sale. We have some of the shelves used to hold the fabric bolts. They are good as book cases, too. We have what was our check-out counter for sale. We also have the desk in my office. I know it was always full of paperwork and such, but it is a nice, big desk. We have our microwave that was purchased last March after we moved to the new location, so it was not used often. In the shop across the street, we had two antique windows up. They are for sale, too. If you are interested in any of these items, please e-mail me at contact@beehivequilts.com. Woodland Quilt Guild: This is such an exciting time for quilters, and the organizers hope you will all come to this first meeting. Let other quilters know and help to begin a new phase in quilting here in Yolo County. There will be an informational meeting and a Show and Tell at the same time: Date: December 6, 2009 Due to time constraints, it is request that quilters limit themselves to two quilts for Show and Tell to as many quilters as possible to share their work. [This would be a great time to bring in your Beehive BOM to show how it turned out.] For more information contact: Diane Beard: 661-6677 redhenquilts@earthlink.net or Rita Eisenstat: 753-1933 mstrailwalker@hotmail.com. Sherry also has an embroidery club going on at the same place. For more information go to http://mosaicque.com/EmbroideryClub.aspx to get more information. Love those quilt shows.
